1 designer spotlight: celerie kimble

Celerie Kemble is a Harvard grad who left her impeccable academic background at the commencement ceremony to pursue her first love; design. No doubt, her experience at Harvard influenced her high end design style, but it seems that Mrs. Kemble has been a lifelong student of great style & design. I first discovered her when she was featured in a J.Crew catalogue while I was still working for them.

She most recently graced the cover of the 1st anniversary issue of Lonny Magazine...

...very pregnant & still fabulous! And besides being beautiful, educated and publishing her own book, she creates wonderful spaces that are so inviting. Check out a few of my favorites from her residential portfolio below.

This is just a taste of her fabulous body of work. Take some time to get to know her by clicking here!

2 artist spotlight: brianna mccarthy

Brianna McCarthy is a self-taught illustrator who creates these beautiful watercolor and ink pieces. A native & resident of Trinidad & Tobago, and her mission as an artist is to create displays of Caribbean women outside of the stereotypical representations often seen in art. I love her delicate style and the subtle emotions she displays in these portraits. Enjoy!

See more on her blog, and if you love it as much as I do, please leave her a comment and let her know!

9 real living rooms

UK fashion designer Mary Katrantzou took the idea of a "living room" to a whole new level by creating these outstanding prints displaying luxurious interiors on avant garde silhouettes. Can you believe this detail?

I would totally wear this one!

The chandelier necklaces are brilliant.

I love these lampshade inspired skirts...

And how cute is it to have the floral arrangements be the sleeves?

Thank my friend Thelma for this awesome find!!
