5 diversity in design
Last year Tina Shoulders of Laidback Home created an awesome guide highlighting people of color in the design industry. As a veteran in the design world, Tina has seen the success of many of her peers and wanted to highlight minority designers to encourage others to follow their dreams to a career in design. Being that it's the first weekend of Black History Month, take a few moments to read these great profiles of people of color creating amazing design.

you know i'm all about diversity in design! thanks for sharing this, niki!
ReplyDeleteI've seen her book before and love it. I wonder sometimes does anyone notice the lack there of?
ReplyDelete@dayka - a lot of these designers I'd never heard of! such a great guide.
ReplyDelete@tonia - I definitely notice the absence in the many many online mags popping up :-/
I am a lover of all people, but it is good to know that one of your own is penetrating a field that can be seen as dominated by others. Its the same way with women. It is excited to see women doing things in a field that is often dominated by men. All in all I am excited to see diversity in every aspect of every field.
