6 new! at room & board

Room & Board is quickly becoming my go to retailer for fresh modern, but classic quality furniture & accessories. While perusing their new spring items, I was thrilled to see their new Matisse print collection and the fun Piper bed, which comes in 8 bright colors. Immediately I began to design a tween girl room in my head. Picture two of these twin beds in a soft-grey wall room, with a fun floral rug and that adorable pink glider.

3 salvador dali museum

If you're in Atlanta you may have heard that the High Musuem of Art opened their brand new Salvador Dali exhibit this weekend to an overwhelming crowd of art lovers. I was one of the thousands to flocked to the museum on Saturday night to check out the surrealist works, but like many, I didn't get to see the actual exhibit! It's a long story but, after a couple hours of chaos and overcrowding, we gave up and decided to come back another time - so we could enjoy Dali in peace.

Nevertheless, with Dali on the brain, I came across the Salvador Dali Museum currently being built in St. Petersburg, Florida. I couldn't find the architect behind it, but they did a great job capturing the surrealism of Dali in a modern way. The building is said to reflect Dali's fascination with DNA; how cool!

3 nate burkus for HSN

Last night I was channeling my Aunt Rutha and watching the shopping networks. Yes, I admit it; I was sucked in by that counter on the bottom of the screen streaming the number of items sold, the exuberant sale tactics of some perky lady with bad shoes, but most of all by the adorable man that is Nate Burkus. I've been a fan of his since I first spotted him on Oprah, and even though I haven't purchased his book (Home Rules), I thoroughly enjoy browsing it at Barne's and Noble. :)

1 new! sbp home + style icon: kerry washington

You may or may not know that I've spent the last 2 or 3 years studying Interior Design. I love the idea of fashioning the spaces we live in to reflect who we are and maximize functionality. It's also really important to me that we shift our consciousness to preserving and protecting our planet, which I believe starts at home!

With that said, earlier this year, I had the idea to start a separate blog called SBP Home. Lately, as I plan the growth of this blog, I think it's more appropriate for me to include my interior design interests on SingleBubblePop!

That brings me to today's post. This was originally meant for my SBP Home but I want to share it with you all today!
