0 five faves: country girls edition

I'm starting a new series called "five faves" where I highlight five items from a brand or theme that I love!
Anyone who knows me will tell you that I'm a country girl at heart. Even though I love city dwelling, I'll always carry a bit of my NC roots everywhere I go. I'll greet a group with a pleasant "y'all" and always ((try to)) mind my manners like my Grandma taught me.

ONE // Cowgirl boots. I recently bought a vintage pair off Etsy and I would wear them every single day if I could get away with it. In my mind, they go with everything!

TWO // We love our trucks. This is actually my dream car; A Ford Ranger! I don't drive one yet, but best believe I'll have one!

THREE // Sunglasses; the bigger the better. I'm a big fan of Ray-Bans, but it really doesn't matter to a country girl. We're always out in the sun & wouldn't be caught dead without a pair of shades.

FOUR // Pearls. There's something so about pearls that just screams "Southern Belle". They'll never go out of style, just like country girls never lose traditions.

FIVE // Monograms. We put them on everything. Even our trucks!

Other country girl favorites: cast iron skillets, biscuits, our Daddies, and calling dinner "supper".

How fierce is this girl? Despite the fact that she has a perfect face, those sequins just jump out at me and I LOVE her nail color. The cool periwinkle blue could be a really chic wall color for a cosmopolitan style living room. This design features furniture from ZGallerie, Mythic Paint & Nicole Miller throw pillows!

3 scott antique market

Happy Monday folk! Yesterday Claire and I checked out Scott Antique Market in South Atlanta. The weather was perfect and there was so much great stuff to see! I walked a way with a few pieces of jewelry but saw soo many drool worthy things!

These rug runners all all made of plastic foil! How perfect for those high traffic areas in your home? I'm thinking about buying two and placing them side by side under my dinner table; you can sweep off all those crumbs and not worry about stains from accidental spills. Buy one (or two) HERE.

Whoa! This issue of Rue Magazine is all over the place, and I love it! They have features from Manhattan to the desert. The design styles range from tradionial with a twist and eco-friendly DIY projects. There's something for everybody.

I love this color pallete - and I'm dying for one of those mint green Eames chairs!


I loved this page for obvious reasons, and the interviews were cute too! ;)


The simply styling here paired with that DIY wallpaper is really beautiful. Graham & Brown has a similar style for less that $50 a roll!


This huge photo collage frame jumped out at me! I love the idea of taking something common and making it special by increasing it's size.

I spotted this perfectly styled Kerry Washington photoshoot over the weekend and was immediately drawn in to the futuristic pieces she's wearing. Turns out, the designer behind these gorgeous looks is Manish Arora, an Indian designer who creates extraordinary bright looks with silhouettes that remind me of the late great Alexander McQueen.

4 parisian interiors

My sister is visiting me this weekend and I'm so excited about it! She has to visit the French Consulate here in Atlanta to get her student visa because she'll be studying in Paris next spring. I'm so happy for her and know that she's going to have a ball! Hopefully I'll be able to visit her while she's there, and just thinking about the trip has me swooning over gorgeous Paris interiors.
